Our Christian Purpose

"Together We Thrive"

At Pluckley Church of England Primary School our vision and ambition is that we aim to provide the ‘rich soil’ for our community; nurturing and cultivating all to thrive and flourish in order that they are able to live life in all its fullness.

Our Christian vision and ethos, derived from Mark 4: 3-8, and rooted in the belief that “In the right soil, every single seed can grow and flourish to produce a bountiful harvest,” encourages a real sense of community and the family nature of the school means that children can be themselves in a safe and caring environment. As a church school our faith is precious and central to every part of our lives. The way that we see the world around us, the way that we treat each other, the way that we look for every day opportunities to help those in need and in the example that we demonstrate to all those we meet.

At the heart of everything we do are our Christian REFLECT values; respect, endeavour, friendship, leadership, enjoyment, cooperation and trust. These are promoted in all aspects of school life and, we believe, are important values for our children to take with them into the future; values which enable them to thrive and flourish; values which enable them to live life in all its fullness.

In the right soil, every single seed can grow and flourish to produce a bountiful harvest.
Mark 4 : 3-8
